    Hey – thanks for including us. 2nd big site in 2 days to include the “pick your travel time” tip. It is amazing which of these tips we write every day get popular!

    Leaving the cottage @ 9am on a Sunday last holiday weekend was tiring, but, it was stinkin’ hot and no one had slept well. We got to the car 9and A/C) quick enough and we were home by 1pm (about 1 hr to load the canoes, paddle to main land, pack the car, store / lock the boats) and 3 hrs drive (including a stretch break for our Newfie and a 6 mos pregnant Mrs. SPF).

    Traffic was building on the 401 between Kingston and Toronto even that early …
