The Restaurant Blogger and Winners of Book Giveaway

The Restaurant Blogger

A childhood friend of mine has started a blog of his own called "The Restaurant Blogger".  You know, it really shows when a blogger is passionate about something as it comes through in their writing.

The Restaurant Blogger has had the dream of owning a restaurant for as long as I can remember.  He started off working in a kitchen, to being a waiter, to now on his way to opening a restaurant of his own.  Not without a few struggles however.

The blog just started a couple weeks ago and already has some great articles posted.  My favorite thus far is "Restaurant Kitchen Secrets".  In addition to his busy restaurateur lifestyle, he plans to post 3 times / week.  If you're interested in the restaurant life or just some fun reading, then give The Restaurant Blogger a visit.

Winners of the book Every Family's Business

We reviewed the book "Every Family's Business" which turned out to be one of the better books I've read this year.  We typically give away 1 book after a book review, but the author of this book has been generous in offering 5 books to MDJ readers.

Out of the comments and email subscribers we randomly picked 4 winners.

  1. Ramona
  2. Cannon Fodder
  3. Janice
  4. Keith

In addition to the 4 books given away above, we will be giving away 1 more copy to the top commentator of April 2008.  You can see the current standings on right hand side of main page

Weekend reading will be up tomorrow morning!

Your friend sounds just like mine, though my friend is still talking and dreaming about his restaurant. Maybe your friends blog will be just the right medicine for him.

I’ll forward your post to him. I’m sure he’ll find it useful and inspiring.

  2. It’s truly is inspiring watching someone work at something that they love. The Restaurant Blogger will be a fun story to watch.

  3. I will check that restaurant website. I like people who are passionate about what they do.

  4. From reading your friend’s site, it is obvious the passion is there!

    Best Wishes,
    D4L
