Like every Friday I drop by to see what Frugal Trader recommended to us… but, different to the other visits I bought the first time in my life stocks this Monday.

Which literature would you recommend to start working with supportive puts and calls?

So far I just buy a stock …… and wait and hope that it will rise!

I am more likely a conservative guesser/investor and am interested in two different investment strategies: Long term (income producing shares, in particular preferred shares) and also right now buy and hold and sell from time to time and if it drops average down the price.

I have a real problem with the Gen X article in that it gets very detailed in the math then completely wipes away the consideration that if you didn’t own a place you’d still have to live somewhere. I think it misses an opportunity to give a complete picture and show how much better/worse off you would be owning vs. renting and THEN burst the bubble of the “real” return on owning a home.
