Keep the ideas coming along! I just received an email suggesting the "United Way" b/c they donate to the charity that you want, but receive matching donations from business's.

I would suggest anything to do with sick kids. After having our own kid come 10 weeks early I can honestly say those dollars due save lives.

Given your blog is about your financial journey, I think it would be great to use the money to support people who are on a journey.

The current situation in Darfur is horific. People are walking week after week on a journey for survival. I spent a year in Sudan and Rwanda back in 93. The UN said "Never Again" after Rwanda, but it is happening again now in Sudan.

So I would suggest using the money to support Sudan (my favourite agency that is working in Sudan is Samaritans Purse International Relief - their Cdn office is in Calgary.)
