You need to pay for shipping ($7.90 within Canada) and there’s a small cost if you remove their logo from the back of each card ($2.49). I used Vista Print for wedding thank you notes, and was very happy with the results. Would defiantly use them next time I need more business cards.

I recently got the free (shipping only) vista print business cards myself. Good cards and a great deal, but one word of caution: take your time when placing the order and read everything very thoroughly–you have to endure a long gauntlet of upselling throughout the ordering process.

MDJ – We just purchased our first rental property – a duplex. I see the value in having business cards, but what did you put on them? Just your name? Did you put a title, like, ‘landlord’ ?
Also, did you set up a separate phone number for your tenants or do you use your home phone number? We are also considering using a PO box as we don’t necessarily want tenants to know where we live. Any thoughts or guidance is appreciated. Thanks

Money Minder, I kept the business card fairly simple. I have my real estate business name on the card along with my name and title (investor). I just use my personal cell phone along with a p.o box for mail.

MDJ – When you say you have your business name on the business card, did you register a business name with your province? We have decided to own the property jointly in our own names. Would using a business name have tax implications? Do you have rent cheques made payable to you or eht business name?

MoneyMinder, in NL, sole proprietor business names do not need to be registered with the province. However, you should double check with your province to make sure. For us, we have rent cheques made payable to us personally.
