Best of Blogs Results and BNN!

Many readers have emailed me wondering about the Best of Blogs results.  The competition was stiff this year, especially with a large US site in the mix.

It was a tough battle and after the dust settled we managed to gather enough votes to place an honorable second!  A big thank you for those who continue to read and support Million Dollar Journey and for the editors who nominated us (Canadian Capitalist, Rob Carrick and Chaya Cooperberg)

Here are the blogs that rounded out the top 5:

  1. iBankCoin (31%)
  2. Million Dollar Journey (26%)
  3. Squawkfox (19%)
  4. Wellington Financial (8%)
  5. Where Does All My Money Go (8%)

As an added surprise, a few readers emailed me about MDJ being mentioned on BNN during an interview with Rob Carrick.  Check out the clip here.

Thanks again for your support -  Enjoy the weekend!

Congratulations to all that put effort into this blog to make it what it is.

Too bad that BNN couldn’t speal squawkfox correctly on the page where they show the Top 5 vote getters!

  2. Wow, you are so close to the first blog in the rankings. And according to the BNN clip, Rob Carrick likes your site!

  3. Wow! with just a 5 point miss from the top hope we can still do more.

Congrats! Keep up the great work FT.

Well deserved, I second the comment about all the effort put into this blog.

Keep up the good work, next year that top ranking is yours

  6. 6. Squawkfox

@cannon_fodder I agree it’s too bad the media keep misspelling my blog name. :D I stopped worrying about it last year though and bought the “squakfox” domain too. ;)

FT! In my mind you’re #1 in this poll. Thanks for the mention and congrats!

  7. Congrats to you Squawkfox, you have a huge fan base for a relatively new blog (compared to the rest).

  8. That’s cool! Congratulations :) MDJ rocks!

One of the programs I watch religiously on CNBC is “Squawkbox”. Was that a coincidence that you chose squawkfox or savvy thinking?

  10. 10. Squawkfox

@FT I’m baffled by my blog’s growth. Seriously brain boggled.

@cannon_fodder I wish I could tell you the strange name of “Squawkfox” had something to do with savvy-thinking. But I’d never heard of CNBC’s “Squawkbox” until a year after I started my blog. “Squawkfox” is actually a nickname given to me by Carl (my better half). I explain it here: My name is not really Squawkfox
